Flamingo is compatible with most of the existing cargo aircraft and uses a mission system that engages each unit to an individual target along the fire front and assists launch from the aircraft.
A guided bomb that flies completely autonomously through the merger of INS, GPS and other sensors. With a 200l load, it allows both direct firefighting and chemical firewall creation through the spreading of water or retardant agents.
Flamingo is made of two elements: the control unit responsible for the functions of GNC; and the suppression unit housing the extinguishing agent. It also has a recovery mechanism separating the control unit and releasing a parachute.
It offers several advantages over the usual means of extinction, including night operation, deployment in inaccessible areas, water encapsulation, performance in adverse weather conditions, keeping human resources safe, and multipurpose aircraft use.
