Embention has been developing guidance and navigation control systems (GNC) for drones since 2007. To date, Veronte Autopilot has been integrated into over 500 unmanned autonomous drone projects covering all types of configurations; fixed-wing, helicopter, multirotor, gyrocopter, VTOL, convertibles, etc. Among the integrated aircraft, the following milestones stand out. Yes, Veronte Autopilot is qualified as the best control system in its class for its high level of reliability, certification, and flexibility. It can plan missions that will be carried out automatically from start to finish, operate payloads, and other instruments. To ensure mission safety, the autopilot allows configuring failsafe automations to mitigate any risk in case of component failure.

Veronte Autopilot, in any version, adds fully autonomous control capabilities to any unmanned system for full operation. This integration can be performed directly by the aircraft integrator or with the assistance of Embention personnel. The integration process begins with capturing project requirements (aircraft architecture, mission needs, peripherals, etc.). These parameters are configured in the autopilot using model-based design module and other configuration tools. To perform the first flight adjustment, it is usually recommended to generate an X-Plane aircraft model and use the HIL simulator to control it from the autopilot. In more complex configurations, it may be advisable to use a SIL simulator. Once the adjustment is made in the simulator, it is recommended to make a fine adjustment in flight, adjusting the parameters in a real flight.

The flexible architecture in Veronte Autopilot makes it suitable for all types of vehicle layouts. The difference between the different autopilot configurations (1x, 4x, or DRx) lies in the technical or regulatory requirements for drone development, all developed according to DO178C, DO254, and DO160G standards. Veronte Autopilot 1x is the smallest version of the autopilot, integrating sensor redundancy, ADS-B / Remote ID, 4G LTE, and LOS radio in just 190g.
