SDL features

LOS Datalink for drone communications

Extreme Noise & Interference Rejection

Extreme Noise & Interference Rejection

SDL enhances communication reliability through advanced interference rejection techniques. By implementing frequency hopping and Quad Filter Stages, it effectively mitigates extreme noise and interference, ensuring robust UAV operations.
High speed - low latency

High speed - low latency

It provides high-speed, low-latency communications for UAVs. Veronte Avionics SDL minimizes interference and latency, providing reliable and real-time data transmission, ensuring almost real-time response communications.
Rugged & IP67 rated

Rugged & IP67 rated

SDL’s are unbeatable due to the IP67 rate, being able to go through hard environmental conditions for ground and air applications, which ensures that no submerged water or dust can get into the unit.

3 Frequency options

The LOS radio for autonomous vehicles is available in 3 different frequency bands, Veronte SDL04 for 400/900MHz, SDL09 for 900MHz and SDL24 for 2.4GHz. Permitting to choose the radios that best suit the mission and country regulations.

Robust LOS communicatons

Wireless serial communications with high performance and reliability

  • Frequency Hopping

Embention's SDL data link employs frequency hopping to enhance communication reliability. By rapidly switching frequencies within the band, SDL mitigates interference and noise, ensuring robust data transmission for UAV operations.

  • Noise & Interference Rejection

By implementing frequency hopping and offering three frequency options (400 MHz, 900 MHz, and 2.4 GHz) SDL can be easily adapted to all environments and effectively mitigates extreme noise and interference, ensuring robust UAV operations.

  • 32 bits of CRC

Embention's SDL data link ensures reliable UAV communications by implementing 32-bit CRC for error detection and Automatic Repeat Request (ARQ) for error correction, maintaining data integrity during operations.

Rugged IP67 LOS datalink

Rugged IP67 LOS datalink

Embention steps up into the data link field with the three LOS radios for telemetry and telecommand drone applications, the Veronte SDL04 (400MHz/900MHz), SDL09 (900MHz) and SDL24 (2,4GHz). SDL is designed to withstand harsh environments for ground and air applications. The SDL is waterproof, small and lightweight with four mounting points to suit installation requirements.

Easy to connect

It has a wide range of supply voltages that go from 6,5V up to 36V. RS-232 port is available for communications and SMA port is used for RF antennas. The power output is configurable from 100 MW to 1W (2W for 400MHZ Licensed band). A robust industrial-grade M12 connector is used for power and communication to make any UAV or other application integration easy and reliable.

Operation Modes

Point to Point

Point to Point

SDL data link supports point-to-point connections, allowing direct communication between one data link and another. This setup ensures efficient data transfer with minimal latency, ideal for UAV operations requiring reliable, low-latency links.

Point to Multipoint

Point to Multipoint

SDL data link supports point-to-multipoint configurations, allowing a single device to communicate with multiple remote units. In this setup, a data link sends data to all units and all remote units send data back.

Repeater

Repeater

SDL data link can be connected with a repeater. This capability extends the communication range by enabling data exchange between the SDL data link and other remote units, ensuring robust connectivity over greater distances.
