Embention has reached a historic milestone by becoming the first company specializing in drone autopilots to obtain both APDOA (Alternative Procedures to Design Organization Approval) and POA (Production Organization Approval) certifications from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). These recognitions establish Embention as a trusted player in the development and production of certified, aviation-grade systems for drones and eVTOLs.
Under approval number EASA.AP537, Embention was officially granted APDOA status, authorizing the company to design aeronautical components in compliance with the rigorous ETSO (European Technical Standard Order) standards. This achievement marked the first time a company specialized in drone autopilots earned such recognition, previously reserved for manned aviation. The certification represents a decisive step in setting new standards for the drone industry, enabling Embention to design systems that meet the highest technical requirements in civil aviation.

Following its APDOA approval, Embention also obtained POA certification, becoming the first EASA-authorized manufacturer of drone and eVTOL autopilots. This recognition guarantees that Embention not only designs but also produces its systems under strict aerospace-grade standards. With this achievement, the company ensures that its products meet the most demanding requirements for safety, reliability, and consistency in manufacturing.

The dual certifications granted by EASA consolidate Embention’s leadership in the drone and eVTOL industries. By achieving both APDOA and POA, the company has demonstrated its ability to cover the complete lifecycle of aeronautical products, from certified design to certified production, paving the way for the standardization and large-scale adoption of autonomous flight technologies.
