For certification purposes, the RPAS has been developed as a fully redundant system in all critical elements: power supply, actuators, control surfaces and more, all managed from the triple redundant autopilot.
It’s a high wing RPAS with 6m wingspan and H-tail and pusher propeller design. Issued with an Airworthiness Certificate Special and having an 80Kg MTOW weight, it became the first RPAS with airworthiness certification in Europe.
EKO, developed by Embention, is a custom made control system including 3 Autopilot cores for providing triple redundancy to the system, all managed from a dissimilar microprocessor in compliance with DO178C and DO254.
FT- ALTEA is led by Flightech Systems, in charge of system development management. Embention´s role is the development of certifiable control systems and power management electronics to ensure the UAV certification.
