At Embention we have been on a clear mission for more than sixteen years, to enable drones to populate our skies.

We provide our more than 600 customers in 70 countries with the development of avionics, critical components and high performance software for their professional UAS (UAVs, drones, eVTOLs…) in accordance with aeronautical certification standards.

The projects that our engineers carry out are very varied, from urban aerial mobility, through freight transport to space rocket recovery projects.

The core of our company lies in our R&D team made up of more than 60 engineers with multiple expertises who, together with the rest of the team, form a total of 85 professionals with the same objective.

Due to our IPO and market interest, we are looking to expand our most important resource, the human resource. If you have experience in electric motors and you feel attracted by our mission, we are looking for you.

 

Mission

The objective is to design an electric motor for aircraft with a high power-to-weight ratio, using an axial flux typology and a mixed metal-composite construction.

 

Actions

  • Development and testing of axial electric motors according to aeronautical standards and customer needs.
  • Definition of necessary tests and procedures
  • Analysis and definition of requirements
  • Design of architectures
  • Design of schematics and PCBs
  • FMEA risk analysis
  • Validation and verification of functionalities for integration

 

We need

  • Degree in electronic engineering or similar
  • Demonstrable experience in high power electronics
  • Experience with electric motors
  • Knowledge of electrical machines
  • Experience in high reliability designs, redundancy, etc.
  • Experience in power electronics: high power DC/DC converters, inverters, etc.
  • Experience with COTS, automotive, space and military electronic components
  • Experience in thermal and EMI/EMC analysis
  • Willingness to work in a team

  • Brushless electric motor
  • Experience in environmental and EMC testing: DO-160, MIL, etc.
  • Knowledge of Eagle, DO-254, Git
  • Knowledge of the UAV sector
  • Ability to work in a transversal and multitasking environment
