At Embention we have been on a clear mission for more than sixteen years, to enable drones to populate our skies.

We provide our more than 600 customers in 70 countries with the development of avionics, critical components and high performance software for their professional UAS (UAVs, drones, eVTOLs…) in accordance with aeronautical certification standards.

The projects that our engineers carry out are very varied, from urban aerial mobility, through freight transport to space rocket recovery projects.

The core of our company lies in our R&D team made up of more than 60 engineers with multiple expertises who, together with the rest of the team, form a total of 85 professionals with the same objective.

Due to our IPO and market interest, we are looking to expand our most important resource, the human resource. If you have experience in engine simulation and you feel attracted by our mission, we are looking for you.

Mission

The objective is to design an electric motor for aircraft with a high power-to-weight ratio, using an axial flux typology and a mixed metal-composite construction.

Actions

  • Simulation of electric motors in terms of performance and thermal aspects among others.
  • Specification of requirements
  • Support to the development phases through validation, troubleshooting and risk assessment
  • Requirements analysis and definition
  • Design of architectures
  • Schematic and PCB design
  • FMEA risk analysis
  • Validation and verification of integration functionalities
  • Generate and publish timely engineering documentation such as schematics, BOMs, production files, 3D models, drawings, drawings, DCIs, preliminary and detailed design documents, analyses and technical trade-off reports
  • Comprehensive and clear documentation of design and analysis results

 

We need

  • Physics or similar engineering studies
  • Demonstrable experience in power electronics
  • Experience with electric motors
  • Experience with Matlab-Simulink environment
  • Experience in high reliability designs, redundancy, etc
  • Experience in power electronics: high power DC/DC converters, inverters, etc
  • Understanding of electronic circuits and physical principles governing avionics hardware design, such as EMC, ESD, thermal, vibration, outgassing, SEE, etc
  • Experience with COTS, automotive, space and military electronic components
  • Experience in thermal and EMI/EMC analysis
  • Ability to work in a team and be proactive

  • Knowledge of Eagle, DO-254, Git
  • Knowledge of the UAV sector
