Veronte incorporates two Inertial Measurement Units that allows the Veronte System to measure different variables such as angular body rate. The panel of configuration is shown in the next image.

IMU menuIMU Configuration Menu

In this menu is possible to set different options regarding the inertial measurement unit. For the accelerometer these are the possible settings:

  • Range: sets the maximum range of performance, high ranges implies less precision.
  • Antialiasing filter bandwith: it is the bandwidth of the antialiasing low pass filter .
  • Output data rate (ODR) : defines the rate of the output data.
  • Enable digital filter: enables a low pass filter which its cutoff  frequency depends on the ODR.

And for the gyroscope:

  • Range: sets the maximum range of performance, high ranges implies less precision.
  • Digital low pass filter:  defines the low pass filter  cutoff  frequency

These parameters have to be defined according to the user knowlegde about the operation dynamics (aircraft, mission, etc.).

Accelerometer and Gyroscope can be configured to use an external sensor in their correspondent menu.
