Mission Toolbar

The mission toolbar provides the graphical tools to create the path that the aircraft follows while it is in cruise phase. The created mission is stored in the .ver file of the configuration.

Mission Toolbar Elements

How each one of the tools shown in the previous table works will be detailed in the section “Mission Wizards”.

Besides the elements to create a route, the Mission toolbar contains the configuration of the terrain meshes which provide information about the terrain height over the operation areas. Those areas are determined by two squares as shown in the following figure (fine and coarse meshes).


The first one (fine) has altitude data at discrete points closer to each other, compared to the coarse, i.e the fine mesh has a better resolution. Going back to the figure, the big square represents the coarse mesh and the small one the fine (the greater the resolution the smaller the mesh, because more resolution implies a heavier file to store that data).

Buttons 2 and 3 make the meshes visible on the map. To locate them over the mission area just drag them and move them to the desired location. Moreover, Veronte Pipe contains a tool to move the mesh automatically to the place where the mission has been located. Once the mission is created over a location and the “Auto” option shown in the figure (1) is selected, the meshes will be located over that point.

As far as the Magfield is concerned, the “Auto” check has to be marked to take the magnetic declination information of the mission area.
